The O.K Corral gunfight took place on October 26,1881

The gunfight did not take place at the OK Corral but in a vacant lot next to Camilus Fry's Photography studio.

Even though there was only 3 men killed in the gunfight it is regarded as the most famous gunfight in western history

The immediate cause of the conflict that led up to the fight was the arrest by Virgil Earp, acting in his capacity as deputy federal marshal, of two rural "cowboys" for a stagecoach robbery

Doc Holliday was born August 14th, 1851, not 1852 as was credited on an erroneous tombstone which rested in the Linwood Cemetery, Glenwood Springs, Colorado for many years. That stone was replaced on October 17th, 2004 by a monument more suited to the era in which Doc lived and died and which, thankfully, corrects the error of his birth date.

Wyatt Berry Stapp Earp was born on March 19, 1848, and died January 13, 1929
